Not My Favorite

After reading the description of this skin care hydrating lotion, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It has an "earthy" smell, which I don't care for. It may hydrate my skin a little, but not enough. I have to follow this product with another moisturizer. It may work better for a younger person, but I am older, and my skin is dry. This one is not my favorite.I hope you find this review and pictures helpful! 🙂

This was not for my more oily skin type

This Mikel Kristi Bio Peptide Hydrating Lotion wasn't bad, but I think I don't have the right skin type for this product. I was not fond of the fragrance, either - but that's just me, and it was not overpowering or anything like that. I have more oily skin and this product seemed to want to just sit on my skin and not absorb - but that may be just because of my particular skin type. Depending on what you need, YMMV.

Absorbs smooth skin

This lotion absorbs rapidly and effectively locks in moisture. My skin generally becomes dull as the winter months approach, but this is assisting in keeping my skin's radiance. It has a more natural aroma and is not perfumed with coverups. This is my new fave. This absorbs quickly into the skin and is not greasy. I really enjoy the herbaceous scent. Hydration has visible consequences. My skin is in terrific condition. The earthy tone of the balancing lotion drop is the first thing you notice. This is not surprising given that the hundreds of ingredients include a diverse range of natural components, including mushroom extract, geranium, and Shea butter, to mention a few. The lotion is non-greasy, and a little goes a long way toward hydrating your skin. It is very soft, calming, and non-irritating, so it may be applied near your eyes. The aroma is quite delicate and organic, with no overpowering perfume.

Lightweight but effective

This is not a heavy cream, it's a lighter lotion, yet it gives you a lovely spa type experience with each use. Not only because of the cutting edge ingredients, but also the lovely natural fragrance that is due to pure botanical oils. It can be used day or night, I particularly like it during the day because as I said, it's lighter.Non-irritating even on my sensitive skin.

Nourishing and Hydrating, but Expensive and Smelly

For $50, as of this writing, you get a tiny 0.5oz pump of smelly, slightly runny, beige peptide and oil-rich lotion (Mikel Kristi Bio Peptide Hydrating Lotion). Good spreadability and absorption; lightweight and not sticky; seems hydrating and nourishing but I don't like the weird scent. The oils used are all skin-suitable and unlikely to cause breakouts, congestion, or irritation. I have combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin. This worked well for my needs and can be used AM and PM. But again, needlessly expensive and I can't say what it is about the scent (sour maybe?) but I dislike it. Average performance in terms of moisturizing and balancing.
