Living The Glow Life: Actionable steps for glowing success.

As Above So Below

Have you heard the old adage “as above, so below?”

This sage counsel pertains to many things in life, but it’s especially potent advice for maintaining thehealth and wellbeing of your skin, at any age.

You can use the best topical ingredients in the world, but if you aren't paying attention to the cellular health of your entire body, those results will only last so long, and won’t deliver the lasting, glowing results you deserve.

Eat Your Way To Your Healthy Glow

There are many reasons to eat our way to healthy, and luckily for us the consequences of these actions can show on the skin rather quickly.

Not only does eating a healthy, well balanced diet give you a recipe for dermal luminescence, it also increases your health-span, which is the years of your life that you enjoy healthy and robust wellbeing.

3 First Steps To Healthy Skin

Here are three things you can do to eat your way to better skin, and increase health factors from the inside out.

  • Take Vitamin C - This everyday powerhouse vitamin is a cornerstone to fighting inflammation in your entire body. Not only does this property scavenge the body for free radicals to neutralize, it alsogives your body exactly what it needs to restructure and repair collagen. If you’re seeing a lack of bounce back in your skin, elevate your Vitamin C intake with low glycemic fruits and veggies. This fills in the gaps and creates luminous, firmer skin in the most delicious of ways.
  • Ditch The Dairy.Yes, I know. This one can be a very difficult to break up, but if you are having issues with acne, the first goal you should work toward is going dairy free. Lactose intolerance is real, but not the only issue here. Conventionally raised cows are loaded with growth hormones, antibiotics, and stress hormones from terrible living conditions. This adds up to a consistent ingestion of endocrine altering byproducts that wreak havoc on your skin. To know if this is a factor for you, leave the dairy out for three weeks and see if your acne clears up. From there if you may try goat or sheep’s cheese and gauge your reaction. In our Tucson, AZ based aesthetics practice, we’ve helped many clients overcome stubborn acne by educating them on the dangers of conventional dairy for skin health.
  • Eat Healthy Fats. Fats are IN, and healthy fats are one of the most important conscious decisions to add into your meals. There are many vital nutrients, like Vitamin D, that are only absorbed by the body if they are in a fat carrier. Be mindful of which fats to pick because not all are created equal. Stick with natural fats like coconut oil, avocado, fish oils, nuts, and seeds to help your body with remineralization and fiber based elimination. These amazing hormone regulating compounds help to equalize the body and the skin as a whole.

Pairing conscious eating with our incredibly potent, eco-lux Core Collection will give you the skin you’ve always wanted, but never knew how to get.

When you start to understand and respect your body, you’ll be able to make empowered choices. Healthy life choices have a huge impact on your overall well being and will lead to lasting, skin positive results.

WHAT ONE CHOICE CAN YOU MAKE TODAY TO START LIVING THE GLOW LIFE?

Advocate:A person who speaks or writes in support or defense of a person, and/or cause.

For all the ways to describe who I am and what I do, the word advocate feels the most right. I am not just a PA-C, injector, skincare formulator, and entrepreneur. Those are simply the tools I use to carry out my life’s passion. My mission is to help educate people on the power they have to work with aging on a deep and impactful level, and to help my clients see themselves in a new light that they have control over. The truth is that too many people waste money and sanity on products and procedures that either don’t work, or don’t deliver on the intended outcome. And it's only by education on the structure of the skin, and how aging takes place in the body, that we can intelligently choose what to do when.

An Introduction To Cosmeceuticals
So, you may ask, “Why don’t all skin products work?”  Many of us have bought the newest trendy product that we have read about in a beauty magazine or seen on TV, used it for a few weeks, see no results, and then put it in the cabinet never to be touched again. The fact is that YOU WANT TO SEE RESULTS!  You want your skin to look and feel healthier and younger. However, many beauty products fall short because those amazing “active ingredients” that they advertise aren’t delivered to the right place in the skin, or in the right form to be effective.

Skin Type Myth Busted
Skin Type Myth Busted

by Christy Hall February 03, 2020

Many companies in the business of “Big Beauty” have capitalized on the notion of a customized skincare plan based on your particular skin type. I think we have all taken the quiz, received the result, and went straight to the cash register confident that this custom regimen would be the answer to our skin woes. Cut to three months later, and we are back at a different register, listening to different set of promises … and lather, rinse, repeat.

It really doesn’t matter what “skin type” you have. The four basic daily needs for skin health and anti-aging do not change
